LARAEC is excited to host our third ONLINE student career training and college resource fair. The LARAEC EDGE showcases programs, resources, and services designed to accelerate your pathway and give you an edge toward your ultimate career goal. Session and exhibitors included local colleges and universities, FAFSA and student financial aid, career technical education programs, apprenticeships, workforce development services, and much more.
This event is open to all Los Angeles region adults, our current adult school students, and educators looking for transition resources, career training options or pathways to college. See flyer for more information.

The Wellness Center's 10th anniversary is happening on March 23, 2024. The event will include a community health and resource fair with family-friendly entertainment, activities, and more. The event is completely FREE for the community. For more info, see the flyer.

The ELAOC Student Council Panda Express Fundraiser will be held on March 20, 2024. 28% of online sales will be donated to the East Los Angeles Occupational Center Student Body. ELAOC offers English classes and various options to learn and improve English language skills. We offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced level English classes in the morning, evenings, and Saturdays. See the flyer for more information!

ELAOC will host a three-day Winter Academy open to all currently registered students from all branch locations. This enrichment opportunity will offer all levels of ESL, CTE Employability & Soft Skills classes, Math lab, HiSET Prep, and I.I. lab for students to continue their studies. Classes will be held at the ELAOC Main Campus on 2100 Marengo St. from Monday, 12/18/23, through Wednesday, 12/20/23.
There will be three periods for each class offered:
• 8 AM - 10 AM
• 10:15 AM - 12:15 PM
• 12:45 PM - 2:45 PM
We welcome all our students from all our branch sites to participate in this free enrichment opportunity. See you in school.

Board member Dr. Rocio Rivas invites ELAOC students and the community to a Citizenship Clinic on Saturday, January 20th, at 9:30 a.m. Attendees will receive support with the N-400 citizenship application, individual citizenship consultation, and study materials for the citizenship exam.

Are you short on credits to graduate on time? Did you recently drop out? Maybe you are an adult looking to go back and finish? You came to the right place! Using a combination of classroom, individualized and independent learning, our counselors will create a high school diploma (HSD) or equivalency plan that fits your lifestyle and schedule. They will also make sure you get credit for all the classes you have already completed, so you can finish as quickly as possible. We can even prepare you for taking the high school equivalency exam in Spanish. And our academic coursework is A-G approved, as required for admissions to the California State University and University of California college education systems.
