The District’s top priority is the safety and security of our students and staff. As Halloween approaches, we want to ensure that all students, staff, and families enjoy a fun and safe celebration.

East Los Angeles Occupational Center will be closed for the Thanksgiving Week from November 24 to November 29. Classes will resume on December 1, 2025. See you in school!

November 11 is Veterans' Day, and the school will be closed. No class on that day. Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 12. See you in school!

Don’t forget — Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend! Be sure to turn your clocks back one hour on Sunday at 2:00 a.m. Enjoy the extra hour of rest as we “fall back” into standard time.

The East Los Angeles Occupational Center will hold its Integrated School Safe Plan (ISSP) Public Meeting on October 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Room AW-22. The purpose of the meeting is to review and present to all stakeholders the components and process for updating the 2025/2026 ISSP.

Superintendent Carvalho visited the ELASC campus to officially launch the new school year. He, along with Board Member Dr. Rocio Rivas, toured classrooms, including the Medical Assistant class, where they interacted with the students and observed their activities. Later, they met with the graduates of the ARC-MC3 program to celebrate their achievements and encouraged them to embrace the future with confidence.
