On behalf of LAUSD Board Member Dr. Rocio Rivas, the community is invited to a Free Citizenship event: the first on Saturday, on May 18. We encourage families to attend both days to receive support with the N-400 citizenship application. Attendees will receive support with the N-400 citizenship application, individual citizenship consultation, and study materials for the citizenship exam.

ELAOC is pleased to welcome the WASC Visiting Committee to our campus as part of our WASC Reaccreditation process. We are excited to demonstrate the positive influence that ELAOC has had on our community and our dedication to delivering exceptional educational experiences. The committee is scheduled to tour campuses, visit classrooms, and speak to all stakeholders. Their feedback and insights will play a crucial role in guiding our ongoing efforts for continuous improvement. WELCOME!

East Los Angeles Occupational Center invites everyone to participate in our Community Wellness Resource Fair. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 15, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the ELAOC Main campus, located at 2100 Marengo Street. The fair will provide valuable resources and information on various topics such as Health Services, Childcare, Mental Health, Housing, and Public Assistance. It will also feature information on the Job Training programs and classes offered at East Los Angeles Occupational Center. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our partner, PUENTE Learning Center, offers ELAOC students FREE access to community workshops, services and events throughout April. For more info on these valuable resources, click the PDF link.

Congratulations to the ELAOC Dental Assisting students on completing their program on April 5, 2024! Of the 16 students graduating from the program, nine have secured jobs with pay rates ranging from $17 to $28 per hour. The remaining seven students are waiting for interviews and the outcome of their applications. The following Dental Assisting cohort begins in August 2024!
