HighSchool Diploma and High School Equivalency (ASE)

STEP Orientation:

  1. All students must enroll in the STEP Orientation class before beginning the High School Diploma or High School Equivalency programs.
  2. Students can enroll in the STEP Orientation class by visiting any of our campuses.
  3. Upon completing the STEP Orientation class, students will meet with a Counselor or Advisor who will assist them in creating an Individualized Student Plan for earning a High School Diploma or Equivalent.

 

High School Diploma and High School Equivalency (ASE)

 

Are you interested in earning your high school diploma or a high school equivalency certificate (HiSET)? Do you need to work on your skills for career training or employment? With our Adult Secondary Education (ASE) program, students can complete a-g approved* high school courses in individualized labs (learn at your own pace) or independent study classes (learn at home). DACE counselors review student transcripts and provide options for earning a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.

  • Academic reading skills (determining point of view, analyzing arguments, evaluating evidence)
  • Academic writing skills (structuring essays, developing arguments, citing evidence)
  • Academic math skills (Algebra 1, Geometry)
  • Academic habits of mind
  • Test-taking skills
 

Our Adult Secondary Education Students: 

 

  • Prepare for a high school equivalency test (HiSET and/or GED)
  • Earn high school diplomas
  • Makeup missing high school credits
  • Prepare for college
  • Prepare for career training
  • Prepare for employment
