Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Registration Process
NEW STUDENTS:
- Visit any of our three campuses to begin the registration process and obtain a testing schedule.
- Complete the required placement assessment, which includes reading and math. Please allow up to 3 hours to complete the assessment.
- Submit your official high school transcripts to an academic advisor or counselor for evaluation.
- Meet with an academic advisor or counselor to review your assessment results and determine your eligibility for classes based on the required reading and/or math levels.
- Select class schedule and register for classes with the assistance of a counselor.
Important: Registration must be completed in person. Students are required to provide official high school transcripts and complete the reading and math assessment before enrolling in classes.
RETURNING STUDENTS:
- Visit any of our three campuses to begin the registration process; testing might be required.
- Meet with a counselor or advisor to re-enroll.
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program offers classes to develop reading, writing, and math skills for transition to the High School Diploma, High School Equivalent, or Career Technical Education programs. ABE classes operate on a trimester schedule, and enrollment is open based on class capacity.
